Resource Description: 

Dr. Hendrée Jones from the UNC Horizons Program will discuss what clinicians need to know about providing family planning services and reproductive/sexual health care to women with opioid use disorders. This presentation is provided in partnership with the ATTC Center of Excellence on Behavioral Health for Pregnant and Postpartum Women and Their Families.

At the completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. 1. Provide a rationale for why all women of childbearing age, including women with opioid use disorders, need access to contraceptive practices
  2. 2. Articulate at least three facts that providers need to know about women who use opioids and other substances and how to help them with contraceptive practices
  3. 3. Articulate at least three facts that women who use opioids and other substances need to know about contraceptive practices


This training offers 0.5 contact hours (CME & CNE) for a minimal fee. Registrants may earn a certificate of completion at no charge.
