About the Webinar

How do you begin to assess a broad range of potential client needs related to planning or achieving pregnancy with consistency and ease? The Clinical Pathway of the QFP offers a systematic framework for exploring a wide range of services clients may need in addition to their stated “reason for the visit.”

This first session of the Putting the QFP into Practice Series included an overview of the Clinical Pathway and provided concrete examples to help begin the conversation to determine the specific need for services among women, men and young people of reproductive age. The Clinical Pathway will serve as a job aid for determining the key areas for assessing your client’s need for services.

Who Should Attend

Designed for clinic managers, administrators, nurses, counselors, educators, medical assistants and other clinic support staff, this webinar is also relevant for clinicians interested in applying the QFP recommendations to their assessment and counseling practices.

Objectives

After participating in this first webinar of the series, you should be able to:

  • Describe how the clinical pathway can be used as a framework to help determine clients’ needs for services.
  • Transition from addressing a client’s stated need to exploring the need for additional preventive health services.
