Eating Disorders 101 for Title X and TPP Staff Webinar

Eating disorders impact people of all genders, ages, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, body shapes, and weights. Eating disorders pose a significant threat to the health of adolescents and adults, yet they are often overlooked in sexual and reproductive health care and adolescent health program settings.

This webinar for Title X and Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Program staff will explore the prevalence and health consequences of eating disorders, and offer basic strategies to identify, prevent, and address them.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the prevalence of eating disorders and their impact on physical, mental, and reproductive health
  • Describe strategies to identify individuals who may be at risk for or suffering from eating disorders
  • Identify at least three steps staff and providers can take to prevent and address eating disorders in sexual and reproductive health care and adolescent health program settings
