Description: 

Intrauterine contraception is a highly effective, safe method of contraception. After a didactic presentation about each of the IUDs, there will be detailed instruction on placement techniques for ParaGard, Liletta, Mirena and Skyla. This will include instruction in best practices for use of a tenaculum and a uterine sound. Valuable clinical pearls gathered from expert IUC inserters across the country will be incorporated. Attendees will utilize pelvic models to practice and solidify their placement skills. Free for Title X Clinicians!

This training is a part of the 42nd Annual Women's Health Care Symposium held as an optional Post-Symposium Clinical Workshop. Registration as a part of the conference is not required to attend.

 

*Only advanced practice clinicians are eligible to participate in this session. This session is presented in partnership with the National Clinical Training Center for Family Planning.
